Why Do 99% Of Businesses Fail?

They don’t begin.
Over recent years, we’ve seen a plethora of motivational messages from athletes, entrepreneurs and movie stars aimed at the general public, encouraging them to pursue what it is they truly desire.
Ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky passed on one of the more memorable: ‘You miss 100% of the shots you do not take.’
But the tagline, quote, slogan (whatever you want to call it) that would equal greater success for most businesses comes from the sporting goods giant, Nike.
‘Just do it.’
After leaving school i have always followed my passion my path , i decided a long time ago not to dance to someone else’ s tune.
The worry many people have when it comes to taking a leap in the direction of something fulfilling is they haven’t figured out what they truly desire. They have not gone within to discover their Element, their passion that will propel them forward. They are looking for 365 days of certainty which does not exist.

It’s frustrating because life isn’t meant to be a complete picture of certainty. People who make things happen follow their dreams and make things happen along the way. They find their flow and are not concerned or are not thinking of what might go wrong , they are focused on the end result.

Yet, so many go through the process wrong in completely the wrong way. They try to work backwards. Putting up barriers that don’t exist.
When I moved to Spain several years ago, I too found myself suffering from Complete Picture Syndrome momentarily. I was in a new country, with a big challenge and on paper not the skills to complete the project. But it’s during times like these that you find a little extra from within and your passion will drive you to your destination.

After a period of learning and a period of discovery around 14 months of blood sweat and tears i was the proud owner of 12 century restored guest house . Something I’ll never forget. I’d never really done anything similar before. I had no formal experience in making such a venture a success. I only had desire. It was purpose and persistence that allowed me to move forwards. Could I have foreseen the way my journey would have headed before taking a leap of face and following my dream.

I remember taking a wine with our guests on our roof top looking out to the Rif Mountains of Morocco and thinking that i was a long way from the streets of South London, where i first started dreaming.

I believe it was Richard Branson that said no Brand has the perfect launch. They simply start and constantly make alterations hoping to reach perfection. So look within dig deep and find your Element ,and discover your passion the thing that makes you tick just a little faster and remember those dreams, it is never to late to begin.
